I knew Alf from when he worked in the city, we had such good times at the annual pension conferences, Glasgow, Birmingham and Brighton to name a few. He was so kind to me when I started my business in 1999 and I will always remember these times fondly, his generosity and humour and his golf wasn't too bad either! I feel privileged to have known Alf, what a lovely man.
